You can attach files to an email by using Message Attachments.

To attach a file when composing a message:

  • Open the message composer by clicking the Compose Message link
  • Click Add an attachment on the Attachments row.
  • This should display a file select box
  • Click on the box or the Browse button (where available)
  • Select the file you want to attach* (the method for this will differ slightly depending on your Internet Browser and Operating System).
  • The file will now automatically be sent to the server (uploaded)**.
  • When the file is uploaded the file select box will be replaced by the name and size of the file.
  • To add another attachment, repeat the above procedure***.

* Certain file types (e.g. EXE) may be rejected when uploaded, or when received by the recipient. This is to protect users from sending/receiving potentially harmful attachments.

** The amount of time it takes to upload the file will vary depending on the size of the file you are attaching and the speed of your connection.

*** It IS possible to add an additional attachment while previous attachments are still being uploaded.
