Article

A Spell Checker is available for checking the spelling of your message. This works differently depending on whether you are composing your message in Rich Formatting or Plain Text (see Message type section for more details). You can check the spelling of your current message composition at any time by pressing the Check Spelling button above the message composer.

Rich Formatting
After pressing the Check Spelling button, all incorrectly spelt words will be highlighted in yellow. While in the spell check mode you will not be able to type in the message composer. To see a list of suggested words, click on the highlighted word. You can change the word to a suggested word by selecting it from the list. When you have finished checking, click the Finish Spell Check button above the message composer.

Plain Text
After pressing the Check Spelling button, a new window will be displayed showing the content of your e-mail message. All incorrectly spelt words will be underlined, clicking on a word will provide you with a list of suggested corrections. When you have finished checking, click the Apply Changes button and your changes will be updated in the message composer.

You can change the dictionary (language) the spell checker uses by selecting it from the drop down list next to the Check Spelling button.

The default language can be changed from the User Preferences page located under the Settings menu.

The languages currently supported are:

  • English (British)
  • English (American)
  • Catalan
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish
