E.g. You require one for bulk sending, or just wanting some advanced reporting on why emails are getting rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Use our DMARC record Generator<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our DMARC Record generator will create a DMARC record for you and if your Nameservers are with us, we\u2019ll even input the record into your DNS Zone file for you, fully taking the complexity out of DMARC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: If you just want to add a basic DMARC, you can skip the \u201cConfiguration Settings\u201d step and simply press \u201cAdd DMARC Record\u201d. This will input a basic DMARC rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Where to Find the DMARC Generator<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting Started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, you first need to log into your Online Control Panel. Unsure how to do so? Then, select any of the drop-down options that appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-10.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7050\" style=\"width:404px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step Four <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In the menu column on the left, select <strong>DMARC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-11.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7051\" style=\"width:323px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several options for configuring a DMARC policy. They are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Policy Failure Action<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation Rate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notification Email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sub-Domain Policy Failure Action<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DKIM Alignment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SPF Alignment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Policy Failure Action<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the only required field when using our DMARC generator. The Policy Failure Action advises the receiving mail server on what you want to happen if the DMARC policy fails SPF and or DKIM alignment. Your options are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>None \u2013 This should be used if you wish to understand and gain visibility on your emails without making changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quarantine \u2013 Advises the receiving email server to treat the email as suspicious. Most commonly, the email will land in their spam folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reject \u2013 This will request that the receiving email server outright rejects the email if it fails SPF\/DKIM alignment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re unsure what to fill here, we recommend selecting \u201cNone\u201d or \u201cQuarantine\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participation Rate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A percentage of emails that the incoming email server will check for it\u2019s DKIM and SPF compliance. For example, if you set this rate to 50 then only half the emails will be checked in compliance with your DMARC record, and the other half will follow the servers default SPF and DKIM checks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is uncommonly used and if you\u2019re unsure, it\u2019s best to keep this blank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notification Email<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the email address to which you would like DMARC reports sent to. This is an extremely useful tool if you wish to analyse why your emails may be failing SPF or DKIM checks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to receive reports to multiple addresses, simply select the \u201cAdd Another Email Address\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sub-Domain Policy Failure Action<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This section is the same as \u201cPolicy Failure Action\u201d but is specifically for email generating from a subdomain such as example@subdomain.example.com. If you only send emails from your root domain (e.g., example@example.com), then you can choose to leave this section as \u201cNone\u201d or \u201cReject\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To recap, the options here are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>None \u2013 This should be used if you wish to understand and gain visibility on your emails without making changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quarantine \u2013 Advises the receiving email server to treat the email as suspicious. It\u2019s important to only fill this section in if you\u2019re actively using DKIM. You can check if you\u2019re using DKIM from the DNS section of your Control Panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your options in this section are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Relaxed &#8211; A relaxed alignment means that the DKIM domain and the domain in the Header From (located within the header of each sent email) must be an exact match or must match a child domain. This includes subdomains (e.g. email.example.com).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strict &#8211; Selecting a strict alignment means that the DKIM domain and the domain in the Header From domain must be an exact match. If you were to use a subdomain for example, then the DMARC record check should fail here and it will follow your policy set in Policy Failure Action section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SPF Alignment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In this drop down, you can select how you want your DMARC policy to align with your SPF record. It\u2019s important to only fill this section if you have a valid SPF record in your DNS. You can check for an SPF record in your domain\u2019s DNS settings and it should look something like the following: v=spf1 include:spf.reg365.net ~all depending on who you use for your email provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your options in this section are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Relaxed \u2013 A relaxed alignment means that the SPF matches that in the domain in the Header From (located within the header of each sent email) must be an exact match or must match a child domain. This includes subdomains (e.g. email.example.com)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strict \u2013 Selecting a strict alignment means that the SPF domain and the domain in the Header From must be an exact match. If you were to use a subdomain for example, then the DMARC record check should fail here and it will follow your policy set in Policy Failure Action section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How To Generate your DMARC Record<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have configured the DMARC options, you simply need to select \u201cGenerate\u201d.
