SSH (<strong>Secure Shell<\/strong>) access in WePanel allows you to securely connect to your hosting via a command-line interface. This enables advanced users to manage files, execute commands, and perform administrative tasks directly on the server. Using SSH enhances security by encrypting data during transmission and is especially useful for developers and system administrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nco-advice-block\"><p class=\"nco-advice-block-content\"><strong>TIP:<\/strong> This is a WePanel <strong>Professional<\/strong> or <strong>Premium<\/strong> feature only, so if you don&#8217;t have access to this but would like to, please upgrade your website through your Online Control Panel or contact our Sales team on <strong>01 5255768<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting Started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, you first need to log into the WePanel through your Online Control Panel. Unsure how to do so? Follow our guide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.register365.com\/support\/articles\/how-to-access-your-control-panel\/\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step One<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the section titled <strong>Security<\/strong>, then select the <strong>SSH access<\/strong> panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-342.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6366\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step Two<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You will then be presented with some important information, such as the <strong>SSH hostname<\/strong> and the custom <strong>SSH port<\/strong> (<strong>25088<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.names.co.uk\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-343.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6367\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Manage SSH keys, you can choose to <strong>generate a new key<\/strong> or <strong>import a key<\/strong> that you have already created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step Three<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven\u2019t already created a key, select <strong>Generate new key<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the page you are taken to, you will need to give the new key a name and a password.
