{"id":624,"date":"2021-03-19T16:51:23","date_gmt":"2021-03-19T16:51:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.register365.com\/support\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=624"},"modified":"2021-04-20T17:37:07","modified_gmt":"2021-04-20T16:37:07","slug":"say-hello-to-your-new-dashboard","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.register365.com\/support\/articles\/say-hello-to-your-new-dashboard\/","title":{"rendered":"Say Hello to your new Dashboard"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We&#8217;re implementing some changes to our Control Panel, as this happens you&#8217;ll notice that some of the commonly used areas of the Control Panel change in their appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The billing area was one of the first parts of the Control Panel to be updated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have now updated the Control Panel dashboard, a place where you can view your domains, the services attached to each of them and make any changes you wish to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dashboard will display in one of two different ways, to the top right of your domain list you&#8217;ll see that you now have a tile or list toggle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/tile_list_view.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the right of the two icons is the list view, which when clicked will make your dashboard appear like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/list_view.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the left of the two icons is the tile view, which when selected will make your dashboard appear like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/tile_view1.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to manage a domain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When viewing your control panel dashboard in list view, to the right of the domain is a cog icon, which, when clicked offers a number of options for you to choose from in order to manage your domain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/domain_options_list.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When viewing your control panel dashboard in list view, to the right of the domain is a cog icon, which, when clicked offers a number of options for you to choose from in order to manage your domain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/domain_options_tile.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Control Panel warnings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When there is a matter which requires attention on your account you&#8217;ll see an alert like the one below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/alert_header.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The small red icon flags the particular domain\/s which require attention<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/ScreenShot2016-11-28at09.31.31.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/ScreenShot2016-11-28at09.31.19.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nature of the warning is emphasised within the dashboard, in this example a domain name requires validation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/ScreenShot2016-11-28at09.35.32.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this example, the CloudSite product is highlighted in red and a &#8216;Renew&#8217; option is offered beneath the service, as the CloudSite package requires renewal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/ScreenShot2016-11-28at09.38.31.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Idle domains<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Domains with no services attached and which are not using a web or email forwarding rule, are highlighted with the &#8216;I am idle&#8217; icon:<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/idle_domain.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Putting an idle domain to work is simple, there&#8217;s the option to associate the domain name with a website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/Add_website.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are multiple options that follow depending on your preference:<br><br><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/ScreenShot2016-11-24at13.09.34.png\"><br><br>Or you may just want to use your domain name for email:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/add_email.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are email solutions to suit all needs:<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/ScreenShot2016-11-24at13.08.55.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or you may just want to use email or web forwarding, in which case select the cog alongside your domain in the dashboard:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kbmedia2.names.co.uk\/040\/46072631582fc240dd2674a7d063b040\/domain_forwarding.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re implementing some changes to our Control Panel, as this happens you&#8217;ll notice that some of the commonly used areas of the Control Panel change in their appearance.
