What is Authenticated SMTP?

Our Authenticated SMTP package allows you to send emails from your own device using our outgoing mail server. Once you have activated the service you will be able setup your email account on your own device with the help of our setup guides!

How can I activate Authenticated SMTP?

To see how you can activate Authenticated SMTP from your Control Panel, click here! Alternatively, you can call our friendly team on 01 5255768.

How does it work?

To setup your email account on your own device, your device needs to connect to both an incoming and outgoing server. Without the Authenticated SMTP package, you will not be able to send emails from your own device. However, you can still send and receive emails by using our Free Webmail service!

Why is it not included?

We do not include the Authenticated SMTP service as standard and this is reflected in the cost of our email packages. By not including Authenticated SMTP, it allows us to make it more cost effective for those who are happy to just use our Free Webmail service!

What other benefits do I get?

Increased security!

As our Authenticated SMTP service is an additional addon, only users who have purchased the service can send emails from our SMTP server. In addition, users must authenticate the connection to our SMTP server using their unique email login details – this is why we call it ‘Authenticated SMTP!’

Access anywhere!

Unlike many other SMTP services, we do not require you to be connected to a specific internet connection. As we authenticate all logins with a username and password, you can connect to our SMTP server anywhere in the world!
