How does it work?

With more domains, websites and users online every day, effectively monitoring your brand on the Internet can be difficult to resource so we’ve partnered with Internet intelligence group, Netcraft, to help ease the pressure.

Following an initial assessment, we comb the Internet for relevant mentions of your brand, products, slogans or trademarks paying particular attention to the following search areas:


DNS searches are performed daily to detect domains that have keywords relevant to your business, across all extensions and territories. Domains similar to yours can be used for a number of fraudulent activities including phishing attacks.


There’s no guarantee a misleading website will use a suspicious domain so we dig deeper and monitor the front page content of websites using Netcraft’s powerful Web Server Survey tool.

Social Media

It’s important for businesses to guard the integrity of their social media accounts by watching for any unauthorised accounts relating to their brand or domain. Our search regularly looks for fraudulent Facebook & Twitter accounts.

SSL Certificates

Users feel assured by the presence of a valid SSL certificate on a website. Deceptive domains using SSL certificates are exceptionally dangerous. Netcraft’s SSL Server Survey searches over five million SSL certificates for forgeries.

App Stores

Increasingly businesses are providing services via mobile apps, which creates a new opportunity for fraudsters. They can create imitations and obtain access to secure user information. Searches are regularly performed across official and unofficial stores for apps that reference your brand.

Search Engines

Sponsored listings on search engines are not always genuine. We monitor adverts on search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing to detect if your brand or domain is a target or being used for phishing.

DMARC Reports

Phishers forge email headers to appear as though coming from a legitimate domain. DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) reports identify any emails claiming to come from one of your domains.

    Our Corporate Account Managers will provide commentary and recommendations based on a consolidated report each month or quarter. The report includes results across all search areas including detailed information refined by categories such as ‘owned by company’, ‘suspicious’, ‘benign’ or ‘phishing’.
